Dr. Walker is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. He practiced Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Chicago, Illinois before returning home to Aiken to establish his practice here in 1985.

Dr. Walker is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery) and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He served 3 terms as President of the South Carolina Podiatric Medical Association and served on its Executive Committee for ten years. He was named "Podiatrist of the Year" in 1996.
